CARBONDALE, Ill.--Â The Illinois State Swimming and Diving team placed three athletes in the top-five as the Redbirds competed in an in-state tri-meet with Illinois and Southern Illinois Friday.
In diving, Selena Corona took fifth on the three-meter board with a score of 196.45. In the swimming competition, the 200 yard medley relay team of Chloe Tyler / Sydney Hoff / Mia Snow and Ella Turken placed fifth while Lauren Wisdom finished fourth in the 1000 Yard freestyle with a time of 10:27.26
REDBIRD NOTABLE FINISHES
In the 200's-  In the 200 yard medley, one team of Redbirds finished in the top five. Junior Chloe Tyler, senior Sydney Hoff, senior Mia Snow and junior Ella Turken took fifth with a time of 1:43.82
In the 1000's- In the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Lauren Wisdom placed fourth with a time of 10:27.26. Meanwhile, freshman Hope Westphal finished seventh with a final time clocked at 10:55.73.
In the 100's- In the 100 yard freestyle, two Redbirds placed in the top-ten. Adi Luker, a Lindenwood University transfer, clocked a time of 55.83 for ninth. Giulia Basco was a spot behind and she recorded a tenth place finish with a time of 56.43. In the 100 yard breaststroke, Sydney Hoff finished ninth clocking a time of 1:08.00. Shelby Gourley was one spot behind in tenth place recording a mark of 1:09.08. There were two ISU athletes in the top-ten of the 100-yard backstroke. This included Chloe Tyler who took eighth with a final time of 56.67. Delaney Boulden clocked a time at 58.21 for ninth. Senior Mia Snow also claimed second place in the 100-fly with a time of 55:34.Â
In the 50's- Senior Mia Snow and junior Ella Turken finished in the top-ten of the 50 Yard Freestyle. Snow took eighth at 24.24, Turken rounded out the top finishes for the Birds' as she recorded a time of 24.35 for tenth.
500 yard Freestyle- Â Seniors Lauren Hervey and Lauren Wisdom finished in the top-ten claiming sixth and seventh place. Hervey clocked a time of 5:08.38. Wisdom recorded a 5:06.01 finish.
400 yard Freestyle Relay- The relay team of Adi Luker, Cassidy Carey, Alexandra Davis and Sylvia Admire recorded a sixth place finish with a time of 3:43.22.
Diving- On the boards, Selena Corona finished fifth on the 3-meter board with a score of 196.45. The freshman diving duo of Emma Thompson and Isabel Poggenklass took seventh and eighth. Thompson recorded a score of 185.45, Poggenklass posted a score of 183.70.
UP NEXT- The Redbirds will hit the road for two consecutive meets as they travel to the University of Purdue on November 21 for the Purdue Invitational before traveling to Greensboro N.C. for the US Open on December 4.
