Redbird Track & Field Closes Out John Coughlan Invite On Saturday

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State track & field program closed out the John Coughlan Invite Saturday afternoon at Horton Field House. 

Saturday finished the last events of the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon. The Redbirds picked up right where they left off on Friday. 

Senior Kiley Sanders moved to fifth all-time on the Illinois State top-10 list for indoor pentathlon with a point total of 3672. Sanders also climbed to third all-time in the high jump with a jump of 1.80m (5-10.75) after she cracked into the top-10 list on Friday evening.

In the men's heptathlon, Senior Ariel Atias won the event with a point total of 5179. Sophomore Ryan Schaefer moved to sixth in the top-10 list with a point total of 5034. Schaefer passed the 5k point total mark following personal records in the 60m dash, 60mH, and pole vault.

UP NEXT
