Rains Wash Out Final Day of Dorado Beach Collegiate

DORADO, P.R. – Heavy rains have washed out the final day of the Dorado Beach Collegiate, and the tournament will be a 36-hole event for this season. With the tournament now being a 36-hole event, the Redbirds set program records for lowest 36-hole tournament with their 554 from this event, while Felix van Dijk set a new program mark for lowest 36-hole tournament score with his 135.

van Dijk placed in a tie for fifth overall behind rounds of 67 and 68, and his 135 is two strokes better than the previous 36-hole scoring record of 137 set by Stuart Anderson in February of 2000. Will Troy's two-round score of 137 tied the previous record and is tied for the second lowest in program history, while TJ Barger's 139 is now tied for eighth overall.

ISU's 554 topped the previous 36-hole school record by six, as previously the 2018-19 squad shot a 560 at the rain-shortened Boilermaker Invitational. The Redbirds' matching 277's over the two rounds are tied for the ninth-lowest single rounds in program history.

This season the Redbirds have four of the top eight 54-hole tournament scores in program history, and now the lowest 36-hole score in the history of the men's golf program.

The Redbirds return to the course on Monday, March 11, when the team competes in the two-day Louisiana Classics Invitational, hosted at Oakbourne Country Club.
