NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team will host the winner of the Charleston/USC Upstate First Round game in the Second Round of the WNIT on Sunday, March 24, with tipoff set for 4 p.m. at CEFCU Arena.
REDBIRDS IN THE WNIT
Illinois State (21-11) has earned four-straight postseason appearances for the first time since making seven-straight from 2006-2007 to 2012-2013. ISU is making its 14th appearance all-time in the WNIT and third under head coach Kristen Gillespie. The Redbirds will be hosting a WNIT contest at CEFCU Arena for the first time since 2012-2013, when they defeated IUPUI 63-47 before heading to Kansas State in the second round. The program is 15-9 overall in the WNIT since 2000 and 12-3 at home in the WNIT over that stretch.
ABOUT THE WNIT
The 2024 field features a 48-team field that includes 11 automatic qualifiers and 37 at-large selections chosen after consideration of a mix of criteria by WNIT officials. There are 24 teams with 20 or more victories in the bracket, including the Redbirds. All games will take place at campus sites, with Round 2 matchups taking place March 23-26. The 2024 Postseason WNIT will again have its championship game broadcast on CBS Sports Network, with tipoff set for Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m. CT.

General Admission: $12
Reserved (Courtside): $30
Student: Free Admission – Tickets must be claimed at the North entrance.
Youth (Ages 3-12): $7
Redbird Women's Basketball season ticket holders who had parking passes in Lot F62 (Turner Lot) during the regular season will have access to parking in that same lot during the postseason run. A parking attendant will have names on file of the account holder, which will be checked upon entering the lot. General parking will be available in lots surrounding CEFCU Arena.
