NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State track and field program opens the outdoor season with the annual Redbird Challenge, while a small group of student-athletes will head down to St. Louis to compete in the Washington University Distance Festival.
Redbird Challenge & Wash U Distance Festival
Action will start on Friday, March 29th with men's and women's hammer throw at 2:00 p.m. Saturday's events will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. with the men's and women's disc throw. The running events will start at 11:55 a.m. with the 800m wheelchair exhibition followed by the senior ceremony. begining at 11:30 am. The Wash U distance festival will begin action at 8:25 p.m later today.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
The Redbirds are back in action for the first time since the MVC Indoor Championships, where the Illinois State men finished second and the women finished in third. At the meet, seven Redbird student-athletes were crowned individual champions. Â

·      Madison Saunders – Triple Jump
