Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, Jeff Bovee "Our men competed very hard and we hit on most of our scoring opportunities so we feel good about our execution. Indiana State men really displayed a great team performance this weekend. We had several top 3 All- Valley performers highlighted by Amiri Buchanon's top 20 NCAA mark to win the MVC shot put title. Our women just about eclipsed our pre-conference ranking with our 3rd place finish. It is an unfamiliar feeling for them to not be at the top after a four-year MvC winning streak. We will need to work extremely hard as a staff and a team to get back on top of this very good track and field conference! We had several stellar performances today with wins in the 100m -Lindsey, 4x100m relay, the Triple Jump-Madison among so many other top 3 All-Valley performances. I want to thank each of our seniors for a great career here as a Redbird! Collectively, they have brought home several MVC Championships and Runner-Up honors. We are so proud of them and they all have a bright future in the next chapter of their life. Lastly, job well done by the coaching staff and the support staff that help our student-athletes balance a long season which started back in August".Â
