NORMAL, Ill.-- Illinois State Diving opened up Senior Day with strong performances in the final home meet of the season against Saint Louis University (SLU).
The Redbirds opened the meet with a 1-2 sweep of 3M as senior Eva Reyes took first with a mark of 294.75 while sophomore Selena Corona collected second place with a score of 244.28 which was a new life time best.
Then, in 1M competition, Reyes swept the boards with a score of 291.68 to take first place and move her career record to 9-0 at home on the 1M boards.
Across both events, the Redbirds recorded eight top-five finishes, including sweeping the podium in the 3M competition.

3M: Emma Thompson placed third with a score of 214.35

3M: Isabel Poggenklass placed fourth with a score of 201.75.

1M: Corona finished second with a score of 231.00

1M: Thompson finished fourth with a score of 203.25

1M: Poggenklass finished fifth with a score of 198.45
RESULTS VS QUINCY-
Swimming results will be available on Saturday, January 11, due to weather not permitting Quincy University to travel to Normal, Illinois. QU will be competing in the swimming portion of a 16-event slate on their home campus at 3 p.m. on Friday.
UP NEXT-
The Redbirds will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to take on Missouri Valley Conference foe UNI for a two day meet on Jan, 17 and Jan, 18. Action will begin with diving at 5 p.m. Competition will continue on Saturday at 11 a.m. inside Glen F. Henry Pool.
