MEDINAH, Ill. – Elise Fennell recorded her second under-par round of the tournament – and her third round at or under par in the tournament – as she helped lead ISU at the Illini Women's Invitational, hosted at Medinah Country Club.
For Fennell it is her fifth round this season at or under par this season and the 19th of her career, in fourth place all-time in school history, now two behind Samantha Richdale in third place. Fennell had four birdies and a dozen pars for her final-round 71, as she tied for 19th in the strong tournament field.
Reagan Kennedy had a birdie and 13 pars in her final-round 76, and her three-round aggregate score of +6 saw her tie for 58th individually, while Dani Grace Schrock carded a final-round 78 with four birdies in her final round and is tied for 81st at the conclusion of the tournament.
UCF won the team portion of the tournament with an 832, while SMU (850), Auburn (851), Illinois (852), and Indiana (853) rounded out the top five in the tournament. Alabama (857), Michigan (857), LSU (858), Minnesota (865), Texas Tech (865), Charleston (865), Wisconsin (869), San Jose State (882), and Augusta (883) rounded out the 14 teams in the tournament field.
The Redbirds return to action next weekend on October 13 and 14 as the squad close out the 2025 fall season at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State University at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
