Fort Collins, CO – Illinois State women's basketball will host Abilene Christian in the WNIT Super 16 Thursday at Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan, the WNIT announced Monday. Tip off is slated for 6:30 p.m. and ticket information will be announced at a later time.
The Redbirds took down in-state foe Western Illinois 90-80 Sunday, advancing to Thursday's Super 16. Abilene Christian moved by Central Arkansas 75-53 Monday night and booked a trip to Bloomington-Normal. Thursday's matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between the Redbirds and Wildcats.

The 2024 field features a 48-team field that includes 11 automatic qualifiers and 37 at-large selections chosen after consideration of a mix of criteria by WNIT officials. There are 22 teams that won 20 or more games this season, which includes the 21-win Redbirds. All games are set to be hosted on campus sites. The 2025 WNIT Championship is Saturday, April 5 at 3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
