WACO, Texas – The Illinois State track & field team closed out the Michael Johnson Invitational at the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium Friday afternoon.
The Redbirds had five athletes compete across the day in the women's and men's triple jump and the men's high jump.
In the women's triple jump, Sophomore Ava Lawless recorded a jump of 11.54 (37-10.50). On the men's side, Freshman Astor Snaider led the Redbirds with a leap of 14.46 (47-5.25). Freshman Victor Byaundaombe finished with a mark of 14.41 (47-3.50).
Junior Rob Pulliam cleared the bar in the men's high jump at 1.99m (6-6.25).

The Redbirds will travel to Champaign, Ill., for the Fighting Illini Twilight hosted by Illinois on Apr. 26, with action slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
