ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference released its Pre-championship poll ahead of the 2025 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship this Saturday at the Lew Hartzog Track & Field Complex in Carbondale, Ill.
The Illinois State men's and women's teams each earned top-two rankings in Wednesday's poll. The men's squad received a No. 2 ranking and one first-place vote, with a point total of 87. The women's team earned a No. 2 ranking, with a total of 129 points. The men's squad jumped one ranking and gained one first-place vote from the preseason coaches' poll gathered in March.
