NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State soccer returns to Adelaide Street Field Thursday evening for a contest with Western Illinois. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Western Illinois travels to Normal after falling 4-0 to Northern Iowa in their last contest played on Sunday, August 24. The Leathernecks are led by first-year head coach Ross Henderson, who previously coached at Clayton State University for four seasons.
Thursday marks the 14th meeting between the two programs, and Illinois State holds a 9-2-2 record over Western Illinois. The series returns to Normal for the fourth straight season, and the Redbirds will look for their fourth consecutive win over the Leathernecks, which would be a series-best streak.Â
 Last year, the Redbirds prevailed with a 1-0 victory over the Leathernecks as Sophomore Chloe Cline scored the winning goal in the contest played in Macomb.
