LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Former Redbird first baseman Judah Morris has inked a non-drafted free agent deal with the Athletics organization before the start of the 2026 season.
Morris becomes the fifth Redbird to sign a deal with an MLB organization from Illinois State's 2025 roster. Morris becomes the fourth Redbird to join the Athletics organization and the first since Derek Salata, who was drafted in the 19th round of the 2023 MLB Draft. Morris becomes the fifth player under eight-year head coach Steve Holm to be signed or drafted to an MLB club.
In 2025, Morris started all 56 games at first base for the Redbirds on his path to an All-MVC Second Team selection. Morris tallied 19 home runs, which sits as the third most in program history for a single season. Across his career, Morris totaled 35 home runs, the fourth most in Illinois State history.
