ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference league office and commissioner Jeff Jackson have announced their Scholar-Athlete team selections on Tuesday afternoon.
Five Redbirds represented Illinois State on the Scholar-Athlete team, with all five earning their first career selections. The five Redbirds selected include Senior Nolan Barry, Graduate Reece Clapp, Redshirt Sophomore Carson Cormier, Senior Thomas Harper, and Junior Graham Mastros. The full list of student-athletes' cumulative grade-point averages and areas of study is listed below:
Nolan Barry - 4.0 GPA, Geography
Reece Clapp - 3.71, Interdisciplinary Studies
Carson Cormier - 3.75, Finance
Thomas Harper - 3.53, Accountancy
Graham Mastros - 3.57, Finance
The Illinois State baseball program has had at least one student-athlete named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete team in the previous 18 years.
