For the second consecutive game, the Redbirds got off to a fast start, scoring five runs in the top of the first inning, the first two on a sacrifice fly and bunt single, before Hannah Meeks hit her eighth home run of the season, a three-run blast to give ISU a 5-0 lead in the top half of the opening inning.
