Madison, Wis. -
The Illinois State women's golf team finished in sixth place after a rain-shortened final round at the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course. Steady rain starting at about 7 a.m. caused play to be suspended with roughly two holes to play and ultimately the final round of the event was cancelled.
Heavy rains in southern Wisconsin resulted in water collecting around several of the greens, rendering them un-puttable. Play was suspended at 12:45 p.m. with the cancellation coming just over an hour later.
