WALNUT, Calif. -
After the first day of competition at the 53rd Annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., three members of the Illinois State track and field teams competed during day one.
Aisha Praught finished eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the Olympic development section with a personal-best time of 10:23.56, while Samantha Bluske ran to a third-place finish after completing the race in a personal-best time of 34:25.55 in the 10,000-meter run in the Olympic development section. In the men's 10,000-meter run, Scott Krapf placed 19th in the Olympic development section in 29:51.79.
Action will resume Friday with the women's 1,500-meter run beginning at 11 a.m. (CST).
