Former Redbird to Compete Against World Champions

MARRAKECH, Morocco — Former Redbird standout thrower Tim Glover looks to compete against some of the world's best javelin throwers Sunday, at the International Athletics Association of Federations (IAAF) Continental Cup in Marrakech, Morocco.

Competing for Team Americas, Glover throws at 2:10 p.m. CST (8:10 p.m. WET). The three-time All-American, two-time NCAA Champion and 2013 NCAA runner-up currently holds a personal-best mark of 84.01-meters. He will be joined on Team Americas by Olympic champion Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago.

The start list also boasts the two men at the top of the world lists in 2014: Africa's Ihab Abdelrahman El Sayed and Europe's Antti Ruuskanen. The line-up also includes world champion Vitezslav Vesely of the Czech Republic and Commonwealth champion Julius Yego of Kenya.
