Redbirds Head East to Face Boston and Brown

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team is on the road again for the sixth week in a row to face Boston for the first time since the 1990-91 season and Brown for the first time in program history.

"We are looking forward to another challenging weekend of tennis," head coach Mark Klysner said. "Brown and Boston have had good seasons thus far and I feel like we have a great chance to do well. It'll be nice to go back to indoors where I think we are a stronger team. We need to just focus on this weekend and getting quick starts in each match."

ISU enters competition this weekend with a 6-8 dual record, the same as Brown. Boston currently has a dual record of 5-7.

The Redbirds to watch this weekend are Dylan Steffens and Christoffer Greve. Not only are the two doubles partners, but they are currently leading the team with dual singles wins. Steffens has a 12-1 dual singles record, with an overall record of 19-6. Greve is right behind his partner with an 11-2 dual record and an overall record of 17-5 this season.

The match versus Brown is set to begin Friday at 3 p.m. On Sunday, competition will continue at 11 a.m. as Illinois State faces Boston.
