NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's golf team travel to Kansas City, Missouri, Monday to compete in the Gary Crossley Ford Kansas City Shootout hosted by University of Missouri Kansas City at 6,024-yard Shoal Creek Golf Course. The shootout will consist of 54 holes and three rounds with par set at 72. The first and second rounds take place on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. The third and final round takes place Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
"This is an event where we need to put together three solid rounds without fear," said ISU women's golf head coach Darby Sligh. "We need this to gain momentum heading into the conference tournament in a few weeks. It's all coming down to these last few weeks to put together all that we have worked on this spring. I know we are capable of making it happen!"
Representing the Redbirds are Kiley Walsh, Renee Solberg, Caitlin Sims, Abby Luchtenburg, and Courtnee Cossell. Maggie Ambrose will compete individually.
Tournament Field: Arkansas State, Creighton, Illinois State, Little Rock, Missouri State, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State, UMKC, UTRGV, Western Michigan and Wichita State as well as individuals from Kansas and Kansas State.
