CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Chicago State, boosting their record to an even 2-2. "Today collectively was not our best tennis even though we battled through it and pulled off a nice win. We will have to play better tomorrow versus Marquette," said head coach Mark Klysner. "Credit to Jack Barton at Chicago State who continues to make that program better and better each year. We did what we set out to do today and I think the guys will be fired up for tomorrow."
In singles, Krajnc Domiter defeated Chicago State's Felix Savard 6-2, 6-7, 10-8. Boers defeated Gonzalo Martinez 6-4, 6-1. Chomali defeated Rohan Wattley 6-4, 6-0. Foersom fell to Christian Gonzalez 6-4, 6-2.
