NORMAL, Ill. –The Redbirds finish up day two of the MVC Individual Championships by going 2-0 in doubles play and 1-4 in singles play.
Estelle Vanthier best Valpo's Isabella Schoolcraft 6-2 and 6-1 to advance to the championship round of flight five. Tara Damnjanovic, Jana Kustkova, and Laura Fitzgerald all will play for third place in their respective flights as well tomorrow, Oct. 9.
The Redbirds stepped up their game in doubles winning both of their matches. The two teams will advance to play for the fifth spot in their respective flights tomorrow, Oct 9.
The Redbirds are back in action tomorrow at 9 a.m. starting with doubles matches.
