NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will host the third annual Redbird Invitational Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 4 at the Bloomington Tennis Center for its last tournament of the season.
The invitational will begin Friday at 12 p.m. with play running on six courts. Singles will be best two out of three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. Doubles will be an eight game pro set with tiebreaker at 7-7.
The tournament lineup will include Chicago State, Creighton, DePaul, Marquette, Eastern Illinois and host Illinois State.
Heading into the final tournament of the fall, the team maintains a collective singles record of 23-33 and a doubles record of 7-18. Jorge Adair Bartra Quispe holds a team-best 8-2 record in his first year with the 'Birds.
Last season at the Redbird Invitational, the Redbirds collected 24 wins at the tournament.
