NORMAL, Il. – The Redbird men's tennis team collected 10 wins Friday, Nov. 2, at the Redbird Invitational at the Bloomington Tennis Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
"What a great start to the tournament. The guys played very well and I think competed with a lot of fire today on each court," head coach Mark Klysner said. "Going 7-0 in singles against some tough teams really shows how the guys have continued to improve throughout the fall. We will try and keep it going tomorrow and into Sunday."
The 'Birds went 7-0 in singles and 3-1 in doubles, bringing their team singles record to 30-33 and doubles to 10-18.
Jorge Adair Bartra Quispe improved his team-best record to 9-2.
The Redbirds will be back on the court tomorrow at the Bloomington Tennis Center with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles.
