The Redbirds Perform in Day Two of the Redbird Invitational

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team competed in the second day of the Redbird Invitational Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Bloomington Tennis Center in Bloomington, Illinois.

"We had a good day with some mixed results, but I think more than anything we got a lot of quality matches in and learned a ton on what things we need to work on moving forward," head coach Mark Klysner said. "I actually value that more than getting any wins. We do have some finals tomorrow to play in and I am hoping for a strong finish to our event!"

The 'Birds competed in two rounds of doubles and one round of singles, where Pol Botifoll Rius advanced to the flight B championship round.

Botifoll earned a victory in flight D of doubles with partner, Zacharias Rankloo Rasmusson. Diego Le Gal Perez and Jorge Bartra Quispe will compete for third place in flight A. Diego Emilio Moura Herrera and Rasmusson will also compete for third in flights C and D respectively.

The Redbirds will close the tournament and their fall season on Sunday with the final round of singles.
