NORMAL, Ill. – The Missouri Valley Conference has selected the newly formed one doubles team Veronika Golanova and Jana Kustkova as the doubles team of the week, for the second time this season.
The tandem of Golanova and Kustkova currently sits at 6-3 for the 2018 dual season. Where they have defeated, DePauw, Dayton, UMKC, Butler, Portland and Murray State. While this duo did not start out the season together, they have formed a winning team for Illinois State.
This past week the duo defeated Murray State's Chang and Masson, 6-3, leading ISU to capture the doubles point over their opponent.
This week the Redbirds prepare for their first Missouri Valley Conference match-up of the 2018 dual season against Bradley. The birds will take on the Braves at home on Saturday March 31 at 1 p.m. The match will be held at the Bloomington Tennis Center which is located at 4101 Wicker road in Bloomington, Illinois. Admission is free, so come cheer on the Redbirds for their first MVC match up of the season.
