NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State's women's tennis team gets ready to take on Missouri Valley Conference rival, Drake on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. The match-up will take place in Des Moines, Iowa for ISU's first away MVC match up.
The Redbirds currently sit 2-0 in the MVC, where they have yet to match up against Drake, Northern Iowa and Valparaiso. Two weeks ago, the team defeated Bradley in their first conference matchup of the season, 5-2 and last week they defeated their second MVC match up against Missouri State, 4-3.
ISU's foe, Drake currently sits 2-0 in the MVC, defeating Valparaiso, 7-0 and UNI, 4-3. Illinois State and Drake are the only MVC tennis teams that currently sit 2-0. After this weekend's match up only one team will remain undefeated.
