Keck Receives CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention

NORMAL, Ill. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced earlier this summer that rising junior Jensen Keck has received a Scholar All-America Honorable Mention. It marks the first time in her career that Keck has earned the distinction.

"This is a terrific honor for Jensen," head swimming and diving coach Scott Cameron shared. "She is an incredibly hard worker in everything that she does, and we are very proud of her for this amazing accomplishment."

Keck earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention status by closing her sophomore campaign with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) in the spring, after finishing her fall semester with a 3.5 GPA. Keck was eligible for the honor by meeting an NCAA 'B cut' standard during the 2017-18 season and maintaining a minimum 3.50 GPA during the spring semester.

At the end of June, the Redbirds were recognized as a team by the organization, earning a spot on its Scholar All-America list for the spring 2018 semester. The teams that were recognized represented 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Division. The CSCAA recognized teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Illinois State posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.48 during the spring semester and 11 student-athletes recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs.
