TORONTO, Canada – Competing in his first meet for Team USA, Redbird track and field alum Curtis Jensen finished sixth in the men's shot put at the North American, Central American, and Caribbean Championships in Toronto, Canada, this past weekend. Jensen secured his sixth-place finish on his fourth throw, launching the shot put 20.44m (67-00.75).
Representing Barbados, former Redbirds Anderson Devonish and Fabian Norgrove helped the Barbadian 4x400-meter relay team to a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:05.97. Devonish ran the opening leg, with Norgrove running the anchor leg for the team.
Both Devonish and Norgrove also competed well in their individual events, with Devonish placing 11th in the 400-meter in 47.73 and Norgrove finishing 12th in the 400-meter hurdles in 51.47.
Sade Sealy, who competed in the women's 800-meter for Barbados, placed eighth with a time of 2:05.08.
