Igor Kolaric Falls To No. 5 Christian Sigsgaard at Oracle ITA Masters

MALIBU, Calif. -  Igor Kolaric came short against Texas' Christian Sigsgaard, 6-3, 6-2, Sept. 20 at the Oracle ITA Masters at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Kolaric opened the first set with a win. Sigsgaard answered back taking the next two games. Kolaric overcame Sigsgaard in the next two, to even the set at 3-3. Sigsgaard defeated Kolaric in the following three games earning him the first set, 6-3.

Kolaric fell by Sigsgaard in the first three games of set two. Kolaric battled for game four, but the point ultimately went to Sigsgaard putting him up, 4-0, in the second set. After a long rally, Sigsgaard took the next game.

Kolaric fought back earning wins in the next two games for a 5-2 score. Sigsgaard defeated Kolaric in the next game, clinching the match 6-2.  

Kolaric will be back in action the tomorrow to face Mercer's Oliver Stuart at a time and location to be determined.
