MALIBU, Calif. – Veronika Golanova fell to St. John's Jessica Livianu 7-5 and 6-3 in the second day of the Oracle ITA Masters.
The two battled back and forth but Golanova ultimately fell short, dropping the first set 7-5. In the second set Livianu jumped to an early lead, but Golanova responded to cut the deficit from 5-1 to 5-3. Livianu answered and took the final game to win 6-3.
Golanova returns to Normal, Illinois to compete in the Redbird Duals next weekend. The time for the tournament will be determined at a later date.
