NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's tennis team will host four matches Friday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 3 at the Bloomington Tennis Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
The Redbirds went 2-0 last weekend on their home court, blanking Illinois Tech, 7-0, in two matchups. The pair of wins improved the ISU's record to 2-2.
The first matchup of the weekend is set to begin Friday at 10 a.m. with Chicago State. The doubleheader will continue with another match to follow at 6 p.m. Chicago State maintains an 0-1 record thus far into the season.
Saturday's match with UMKC is will start at 3 p.m. The Roos fell in their first showing of the spring season to Nebraska. The 6-1 loss brought UMKC to 0-1 going into their match with the Redbirds.
The weekend finale will be Sunday at 1 p.m. with a match against Northern Illinois. The Huskies put up 1-4 record this far into the spring. In their last showing, Northern Illinois came up short, 3-4, in a close match with Omaha.
Illinois State will continue their homestand Friday, Feb. 8 with a double header against UIS and Eastern Illinois, beginning at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
