Road Trip to North Dakota Up Next for Redbirds

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team will play their first game ever in the state of North Dakota on Sunday, as they travel to take on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in Grand Forks, N.D. Tip-off at Betty Englestad Sioux Center is set for 2 p.m. CT.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
UND picked up their fourth-straight win on a Wednesday morning tilt at Georgia Southern, 69-56. Jaclyn Jarnot scored a career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Melissa Leet and Alaina Jarnot paced the Hawks with nine boards a piece, as the Hawks out-rebounded the Eagles 52-40 on the day.

ILLINOIS STATE VS. NORTH DAKOTA
This is only the second meeting between the two programs. Illinois State defeated UND at Redbird Arena last season, 67-55, behind three Redbird double-digit scoring performances: Simone Goods (19 pts), Mary Crompton (15 pts) and TeTe Maggett (10 pts).

LAST TIME OUT
Senior Lexi Wallen and TeTe Maggett paved the way for the Redbirds, as Illinois State held on for a 69-66 win over Northern Illinois at Redbird Arena on Wednesday evening. It was the second consecutive game Wallen led the Redbirds in scoring as she posted a team-high 18 points. Maggett recorded the second double-double of her career, collecting 17 points and 11 rebounds.
