NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team will travel to Bradley on Saturday, March 30 with the first serve scheduled at 1 p.m. This marks the start of MVC league play for the Redbirds this season.
The Redbirds own a 12-5 record after finishing 2-1 over spring break, picking up wins against UC Irvine and Westmont. Sophomore Ivon Mihaleva has won her last four games to propel her record to 9-4. She is now tied with freshman Tara Damnjanovic (9-4) and senior Jana Kustkova (9-6) for a team-high in the win column.
Bradley is 11-6 on its season after winning the last two games against New Orleans and Nicholls State. A key player to watch for Bradley is sophomore Sandra Maletin, who earned an All-Conference bid last year, and is currently 11-4 at the No. 1 spot for the Braves.
The Redbirds are 36-10 all-time against the Braves, including a 5-2 win in Normal last spring.
