Women's Golf Earns No. 18 Grade Point Average in DI Women's Golf

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Illinois State women's golf team, which recently put five student-athletes on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars list, has earned the 18th-best team grade point average (3.715) in NCAA Division I for the 2018-19 season based on the grade point average of the entire squad.

The Redbirds stand second in the Missouri Valley Conference, just behind Drake and ahead of Loyola, as the MVC put three schools in the top-25 overall.

During the 2018-19 season, Illinois State place in the top-10 in six different tournaments, including a season-best third-place finish at the MVC Preview and fourth place at the Braun Invitational.

Five Redbirds – Becca Black, Morgan Savage, Paige Seiser, Caitlin Sims, and Emma Sutton – were named to the WGCA All-American Scholars List on Monday (July 8).
