CHICAGO – The Illinois State women's tennis team dropped their Sunday afternoon match to the DePaul Blue Demons 7-0 in the Windy City to end their two-match opening weekend. The Redbirds end the weekend with a 1-1 record to start the season.
The 'Birds were shutout in the doubles matches to fall into an 0-1 hole early. Senior Natalia Bravo and sophomore Tara Damnjanovic kept up with their opponents in the singles matches, but ultimately fell short. Lenka Antonijevic sealed the deal for the Blue Demons with her win in the fifth flight.
