ST. LOUIS – For the first time in her career, Illinois State junior Ali Schrock has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after her performance at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic.
She placed third with a tournament score of 215 (-1), which is tied for the second-lowest individual tournament total in program history. She was the top MVC golfer in the field and she opened play with an even-par opening round of 72, which she followed in the same day by going one shot over par. She saved her best for last, as her final round of 70 tied her career-low and propelled her to third place overall. This season she has had four rounds at or under par, and she leads the Redbirds in scoring average at 72.9 strokes per round.
The Redbirds return to the course on October 24-26 when the team competes in the Little Rock Classic, hosted at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
