NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Illinois State senior David Perkins, a 2020 PING Third Team All-American, is set to compete at the 2021 NCAA Noblesville Regional as an individual looking to advance to the National Championships.

Redbirds in the Regional: This season marks the fourth time in the last five championship seasons (last season's NCAA Championship was canceled because of the pandemic) that the Redbirds have sent an individual to the Regionals. In 2015-16, Trent Wallace tied for 55th at the Wisconsin Kohler Regional with rounds of 72, 78, and 74. A year later Wallace placed seventh overall with a three-round score of 217 (68, 70, 79), and earned the region's individual spot into the NCAA Championship. Two years later both Wallace and David Rauer earned individual spots into the regional, Wallace tying for 48th place (75, 72, 75) and Rauer a tie for 65th place (78, 72, 79).Â
