CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team concluded play at the ITA Midwest Regionals Sunday, sending two singles competitors through to the ITA Midwest Super Regionals in October.
Junior Alexandra Abyasova and sophomore Tijana Zlatanovic punched their tickets to the super regionals as a result of making it to the round of 16 in singles yesterday. Both fell to opponents from Illinois in their lone matches today.
The ITA Midwest Super Regionals will be held Oct. 22-26 in Columbus, Ohio and hosted by Ohio State.

The 18-team ITA Midwest Regional field featured top players from Illinois, Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan, Wisconsin, Toledo, Northwestern, DePaul, Northern Illinois, Colorado State, Michigan State, Ohio State, UIC, Valparaiso, Marquette, Bowling Green, Eastern Illinois, Michigan and the Redbirds.
