TULSA, Okla. – Illinois State began a busy weekend with a match at Tulsa Saturday, and Tulsa came out on top by a score of 7-0 in the first of three matches in two days for the Redbirds.
The Golden Hurricane got off to a good start by winning the doubles point, winning at No. 3 and No. 1 to secure the point and move the action to singles play. Tulsa won the first three matches to clinch the victory and then won the final three to complete the sweep.
The Redbirds continue their weekend road trip in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Sunday for a doubleheader with the Razorbacks. The first match is set to begin at the 1 p.m. Dills Indoor Stadium, with the second to follow shortly after.
