TULSA – Illinois State men's tennis standouts Melker Isaksson and Nam Pham each dropped their opening-round prequalifying matches at the ITA Men's All-American Championships on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Center on the Tulsa campus
Isaksson was taken down by Loren Byers of Penn State in straight sets 6-3, 6-1, and Pham was defeated by Wichita State's Mykhailo Kvantaliani by a score of 6-2, 6-0. The duo will move into the prequalifying consolation round on Sunday, with Isaksson set to square off against Mark Endler of Wofford at 8 a.m. and Pham is matched up against Peyton Gatti from Chattanooga also at 8 a.m.
