TULSA – Nam Pham and Melker Isaksson each came away with wins on Sunday morning to cap off a competitive weekend in Tulsa at the ITA Men's All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Center.
"I was really happy with how Nam and Melker played this weekend," ISU head coach Mark Klysner said. "They had some tough opening-round matches playing against very high-level opponents and I thought they both held their own and had chances to win. Today both guys came out and played extremely well. Overall, it was a great weekend for these two."Â
After each dropped their opening-round matches on Saturday, both Pham and Isaksson bounced back for wins on Sunday before heading back home. Pham downed Peyton Gatti from Chattanooga 7-5, 6-2, and Isaksson rallied from dropping the first set to come away with a three-set win over Wofford's Mark Endler by a score of 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
The Redbirds will be back home next weekend to host the 6th annual Redbird Invitational at the Gregory Street Courts from Friday through Sunday.
