PLACIDA, Fla. – After opening the spring season with a seventh-place finish in the deep field at the Border Wars hosted by Houston, the Redbirds take back to the southern part of the country to compete in the Coral Creek Club Invitational, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.

From the Coach: "We have a great opportunity in front of us, but also a big test on a championship track against a very strong field," said ISU head men's golf coach Ray Kralis. "There is not a weak team here among the 16, so with good weather conditions forecasted, you can't afford many unforced errors. I feel we are getting our feet under us after a couple of trips south earlier this month, and our experience here with the Tinervin Cup should be very helpful."
Last Time Out:Â Facing strong winds and a loaded field, the Illinois State men's golf team rose four spots into a tie for 7th place overall at the 2022 Border Olympics hosted by the University of Houston.
