NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State track and field team will split this weekend, competing at three different meets. A select group of student-athletes will be competing in Bloomington, Indiana at the Hoosier Hills Invite, while a small distance group will travel to Allendale, Michigan for the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. Riley Wells, Joe Morrison and Rachel Hickey will travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the Valentine Invite.
HOOSIER HILLS INVITE
On Friday, a select group of student-athletes will travel to Bloomington, Indiana to compete in the one-day Hoosier Hills Invite. The action will begin at 3:00 p.m. central time with women's 60-meter hurdles, women's weight throw and men's long jump. Track events will begin with the men's 60-meter hurdles at 3:15 p.m. CT. Field events will continue with women's pole vault at 3:30 p.m. CT, men's long jump, and men's weight throw.
GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY MEET
On Friday, a small group of distance runners will travel to Allendale, Michigan to compete in the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. Runners will only be competing in the 5k starting at 9:00 a.m. CT.

VALENTINE INVITE
On Friday, Riley Wells and Rachel Hickey will travel to Boston, Massachusetts to compete in the Valentine Invite. Hickey will run the women's 800 meter on Friday at 10:20 a.m. CT followed by the mile at 3:00 p.m. CT. Wells will race the men's 800 meter on Saturday at 10:25 a.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT
Raydoffa Braziel highlighted last week's performances, clocking a 1:17.30 in the 600-meter run at the Meyo Invite, setting a new Missouri Valley Conference and Illinois State record in the event.
Multiple student-athletes improved their personal bests and posted performances that rank on Illinois State's program top-10 list.
At the Wartburg Indoor Select, Kiley Sanders finished first in her first pentathlon with 3,150 points.
The Redbirds had 11 first-place finishes at the Keck Select Invite.

Following this weekend's meets, the Redbirds will compete in Eastern Illinois' Friday Night Special in Charleston, Illinois and Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invite in South Bend, Indiana.
