Normal, Ill.- Freshman standouts Lindsey Miller and Jaylin Holmes are set to compete among the nation's best runners at the 2023 Toyota USATF U20 Outdoor Championships on Saturday July 8th at Hayward Filed in Eugene, Oregon with the rest of the field starting today at 1:25 P.M. CT.
Last time these two competed, Holmes ran at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Sacramento, California in the 400m hurdles while also winning in the 400m hurdles at the 2023 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a personal-best and a time of 51.91 putting him fifth all-time in that event. Miller also ran at the NCAA West Preliminary Round as a member of the 4x100 relay team while setting a personal-best in the 100m dash at the Drake Relays with 11.91.
Jaylin Holmes will start 400m hurdle heat at 5:24 P.M. CT. (3:24 PST) and Lindsey Miller will start her 100m dash heat at 3:53 P.M. CT. (1:53 PST)
Illinois State University Alum Tim Glover, a two-time NCAA Champion and three-time First Team All-American for ISU from 2010-13, is also set to compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships on Saturday July 8th in the men's javelin at 7:50 P.M. CT. (5:50 PST). Glover appeared in last year's championship where he finished fifth in the nation with a throw of 76.16m (253ft. 2in.).
