HONOLULU – The Illinois State women's tennis team wrapped up its time in the Aloha State on Thursday, as the Redbirds dropped a 7-0 decision to Pacific to cap off the Rainbow Wahine Spring Invitational at the UH Tennis Complex.
Pacific jumped out to a quick lead, picking up wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots to secure the doubles point and a 1-0 lead in the match. As the action moved to singles, the Tigers kept the momentum and picked up victories on each court to come away with a 7-0 sweep of ISU in Honolulu. Â
The Redbirds are back in action on Saturday, March 23, when they open Missouri Valley Conference play at Belmont in Nashville, with first serve set for 11 a.m. CT.
