NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State baseball series opener versus Valparaiso, originally scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday at Duffy Bass Field, has been pushed up to 3:00 p.m. CT due to inclement weather.
The Missouri Valley Conference cold weather policy requires a wind chill factor of at least 28 degrees.
Friday's meeting will mark the 43rd all-time meeting between the Beacons and Redbirds. Illinois State won the latest meeting between the two programs, 10-3, last May in Valparaiso.
