RIVER FOREST, Ill.-- Illinois State continued its success from day one of the River Forest Collegiate Invitational as the pair of Tomas Valencia and Caden Scarlett claimed the Flight One Doubles Bracket Championship.
The day began with doubles play as Valencia and Scarlett bettered the Washington University-St Louis doubles pair of Colin Scruggs and Case Fagan by a score of 7-6 (7). Adrian Dibildox and Tin Ostro fell to Western Michigan University (Davison/Dunsim) in the flight two Doubles bracket by a 7-5 mark to round out the two groups of Redbirds competing in doubles play on Day two.
In singles play, ISU collected three victories, Tomas Valencia, Tin Ostro and Tom Bevan outscored their opponents 32-13 and each won 2-0 sweeps over Knezevic (WMU; 6-3, 6-4), Tam (WU; 6-4, 2-0, ret), and Wong (MU; 6-2, 6-0).

#2 Draw: Davison/Dunsim (WMU) def. Dibildox/Ostro (ISU) 7-5
Up Next: Illinois State will return home for the 7th Annual Illinois State Invitational which will take place next weekend (Sept 20-21). The 'Birds will then travel on the road once again to compete in the ITA- All Americans hosted by Tulsa University (Sept 21-29).
