Normal, Ill.-- Illinois State women's tennis wrapped up day two of the Redbird Invitational collecting a total of four singles wins and one doubles victory.
In singles competition, the Redbirds were led by Silvia Pomarolli as she knocked off Bradley University's Sirbu in straight sets with a 6-4, 6-2 mark. At No 3. Emma Lindh defeated Stone of Valparaiso by a score of 6-4, 7-5.Â
Elena Jankulovska, Silvia Pomarolli, and Emma Lindh advanced to the respective singles championships tomorrow.
In doubles play, Emma Lindh and Lana Caculovic fell to  Ushio/Liu of UIC by a final score of 8-4. At No 3. Nuria Sanz and Elena Jankulovska also defeated Fiallo and Duva of Marquette University by a score of 8-6.
Sanz and Jankulovska advanced to the championship flight where they will take on Bradley at No. 3 doubles. The Redbirds will open up day three at 9 am.
