Hoff and Reyes Claim Event Wins on Day One At UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa- Illinois State Swim and Dive concluded day one against UNI with senior Eva Reyes claiming the 3-meter diving title with a score of 290.85. In the pool, swimming competition was highlighted by senior Sydney Hoff who won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.33. 

Competition will resume for day two tomorrow at Glen F. Henry Pool with 1M diving competition beginning at 9 a.m.

INDIVIDUAL EVENT WINS (top-three)

• Chloe Tyler, Hoff, Giulia Basco and Emma Feltzer took second in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:54.45.

• Cassidy Carey, Shelby Gourley, Ella Turken and Lauren Hervey placed third in the 400-yard medley relay with a 4:05.60 finish.

• Lauren Wisdom placed second in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:41.38.

• Sylvia Admire took third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.46

• Mia Snow placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a final time of 24.22.

• Giulia Basco recorded a second place finish in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:05.94.

• Turken, Tyler, Admire, and Snow placed second in the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:38.11.

UP NEXT-

The Redbirds will travel to Chicago, Illinois to finish the regular season at the UIC Diving Invite on Feb. 8. Action will open up at 11 a.m.
